You can increase the effectiveness of a pest control visit by taking some steps yourself:
Keep your home clean and de-cluttered so bed bugs have fewer places to hide.
Regularly wash bed linens and dry them in the dryer (30 minutes at medium to high heat).
Vacuum as thoroughly as possible, paying special attention to cracks and crevices. If possible, use the vacuum attachment to clean upholstered furniture, paying special attention to any place a bed bug might like to hide.
Bed bugs are skillful hitchhikers! They spread from an infested location to a new location by attaching to an unsuspecting carrier, perhaps on a jacket, purse, or bag. If you think a visitor may come from a location infested with bed bugs, for you own health and well-being, tactfully limit your exposure.
We have a technician who is an experienced beekeeper. Although it is not always possible, we will try to capture and relocate swarming honey bees whenever we can.
